Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of this website and any quotation or work carried out by Happ's Electrical & Maintenance (Pty) Ltd. By using the site or accepting a quotation you agree to them.
1. Website use
Content on this site is provided for general information. Pricing, service descriptions and images are indicative and do not constitute a binding offer. You may not copy, reproduce or reuse the site's content, photographs or branding without our written permission.
2. Quotations
- Quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
- Quotes are based on the information supplied and on what is visible at the time of assessment. Hidden defects, additional materials or extra work are quoted separately and must be approved before we proceed.
- Material prices may change; we will confirm before ordering if a change is material.
3. Work, access and safety
- You must provide safe and reasonable access to the site and to the distribution board.
- Power interruptions may be necessary. We will give reasonable notice where possible.
- All work is carried out by registered persons in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 and SANS 10142-1.
4. Payment
- A deposit may be required for materials before work starts.
- Invoices are payable on the terms stated on the invoice. Late payment may attract interest at the prescribed rate.
- Ownership of materials passes only on full payment.
5. Certificates of Compliance
A Certificate of Compliance is issued only for the installation or portion of the installation inspected and tested by us, and only once payment for that work is settled. See our Certificate of Compliance notice.
6. Warranty
Workmanship is warranted for 12 months from completion. Materials and equipment carry only the manufacturer's warranty. The warranty excludes damage from misuse, surge or lightning events, tampering, work altered by others, and normal wear.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Subject to that, our liability for any claim is limited to the value of the work in question, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as loss of profit, data or business interruption. Pre-existing faults in an installation are not our responsibility.
8. Cancellation
Cancellations must be in writing. Materials already ordered and work already carried out remain payable.
9. Complaints and governing law
Please raise any complaint with us first so that we can put it right. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
